Havelock Elementary School will be the highest performing elementary school in North Carolina where all students are engaged in 21st Century learning experiences.

Vision for HES
Havelock Elementary School staff along with students, parents, and community will work collaboratively to provide a positive enviroment where every student is ensured equal access to a quality education taught by highly qualified and reflective teachers and paraprofessionals.

Uniform Policy for HES
The students are required to wear uniform colors. The required colors are white or navy blue shirts, and khaki or navy blue pants or skirts, which must be free of all logos and symbols. Additionally, boys must have a collar on their shirt and everyone must have shirt tails tucked in. Wearing uniforms creates a positive impact in the attitudes of our students.

Parent/Legal Guardian must present:

CHILD’S:
Certified Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Custody Documentation (If applicable)
Immunization and Health Assessments:
1. North Carolina Law requires that each child have the following immunizations:
5 DPT (one on/after 4th birthday, if 4th dose is after 4th birthday, 5th dose not required).
4 Polio (one on/after 4th birthday, if 3rd dose after 4th birthday, 4th dose not required).
2 MMR (one on/after 1st birthday, 2nd dose before entering K/1 for the first time)
1 HIB (at least one required for children entering school who have not reached the 5th birthday).
3 HEP B (required for children born on/after 7/1/94)
1 Varicella (required for children born on/after 4/1/01)
2. Health Assessment (physical examination) is required. This should be done by the child’s health care provider no more than 12 months prior to the date of school entry.

PARENT/GUARDIAN’S:
Proof of Residence
Current Lease Agreement or Contract
Current Utility Bill with parent/guardian’s name
Picture Identification to substantiate proof of residence
