Helpful Suggestions for Writing

If you would like to help your student with writing, try some of these ideas:

AT HOME-
*Have students practice writing letters and sounds that they hear.
*Practice writing sentences with capital letters and spaces between words.
*Have students write about a book they have read or an activity in which
the family participated.
*Use journal writing to write back and forth with your children or even
between siblings to help build and reinforce writing skills.
AT SCHOOL-
*Morning message
*Incorporate writing in every subject
*Daily Oral Language
*Journal Writing
*Creative/Free Writing
*Graphic organizers
*Month by month writing prompts |
