Geneva's Philosophy on Middle School Math Education
Since math is used every day, it is my job as an educator to make sure no student is left behind. I believe the ultimate purpose of math education is to improve oneself through learning math concepts and to manipulate information to use it in everyday situations with technology.
I want to better prepare my students for the next grade.
I want to be a role model in communicating the attitude of continual learning.
All students need to be able to understand the relationships of math objectives, evaluate and analyze math skills, compute problems with ease, and communicate math vocabulary well.
Students mastering and applying skills are at the top of my list. I am proactive in meeting accountability, differentiating instruction, and integrating technology.
