Hello! My name is Betty Tripp. I believe... "All students can learn and achieve when given the appropriate tools and confidence." I love to teach, and watch children grow and achieve. I have been in education for approximately 25 years. After serving as a teacher assistant for 11 years of those years, I enrolled in Craven Community College and East Carolina University to earn my teaching degree. I also received National Board Certification in Elementary Education in 2005. The past 14 years I have taught third grade at James W. Smith. I was born and raised in Craven County and continue to live here with my husband and Yorkshire Terrier, George. I have two children, and 2 wonderful grandsons. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my grandsons, going to church, and using my talents for the Lord. Photography, drawing and painting are some of my hobbies. I am excited about this school year and look forward to a successful year with your child.

Tuesday: Write each word 5 times each in cursive. Wednesday: Use each word in a sentence that asks a question. Thursday: Write each word in a triangle formation: Ex. toe = t to toe Friday: Test on all words - CORRECT FORMATION OF LETTERS DOES COUNT WHEN GRADING SPELLING.
