I am very excited about the 20011 - 2012 school year! Physical Education is an important part of your child’s educational experience. Physical Eduation allows each student to gain knowledge and skills about healthful living and topics important to their age levels. Physical Education strands that we will focus on for instruction are Movement Forms, Fitness and Sport Literacy, Healthful Lifestyles, Personal Fitness and Appreciation for Diversity.

Did You Know? . . .
Exercise increases the flow of blood to the brain. The blood delivers oxygen and glucose, which the brain needs for heightened alertness and mental focus. Because of this, exercise makes it easier for children to learn.

Activities that involve balance and jumping activities like jumping rope provide mental alertness. This provides your child with a framework for reading and other academic skills.
