School Profile
Brinson Memorial Elementary School, a North Carolina School of Excellence,
is a K-5 school in New Bern, North Carolina. We are one of twenty-five schools within the Craven County Public Schools. Our academic program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

BMES has been recognized by the NC Department of Public Instruction as a NC School of Distinction for the 2007-2008 school year.

BMES became the first school in NC and the sixth in the United States to earn Master Model School status in the Reading Renaissance program.

Brinson implements the Baldrige approach to teaching, learning, and other school operations.
